Position Summary:
The Product Marketing Specialist is responsible for shaping OpenSplice marketing campaigns with a strong focus on lead generation. He/she will have primary responsibility for editing, enriching and repurposing content. Driven by the success of our open source business model, OpenSplice DDS is fast becoming the global standard for real-time messaging used within some of the most demanding mission and business critical applications in military and industrial markets. This is an exciting hands-on role for someone who relishes the challenge of priming our sales pipeline.
Location:
This role is based at PrismTech’s offices in Stirling, UK.
Reports To:
This role reports directly to the SVP OpenSplice DDS Business.
Experience:
- Some relevant experience and ideally a qualification in Marketing.
- Knowledge of effective marketing techniques to exploit Web2.0 (including social media) would be highly beneficial.
- Previous experience with marketing open source software would be valued.
- Comprehension and knowledge of modern software architectures, middleware, operating systems and/or networking software will be beneficial.
- Experience with the systems that support our business would be useful; namely salesforce.com.
Key Responsibilities:
- Works closely with Sales and Engineering to define & prioritise product marketing campaigns and associated collateral (e.g. sales collateral, technical collateral, field training, and web 2.0 content).
- Lead generation management (oversight of all outreach programs for OpenSplice DDS: incl. 3rd party events, PrismTech events, campaigns, PR).
- Sales enablement (PrismTech and Partner sales education).
- Web 2.0 content production and publication.
- Participate in OpenSplice Leadership and PSG meetings.
- Liaises with Corporate Marketing to ensure consistent approach and best practice sharing.
Interpersonal Skills and Qualities:
- The role demands sparkling verbal & written communication and disciplined task management skills.
- A friendly, approachable, courteous and upbeat manner.
- Proficiency in written business & technical English.
- Competence in other European and/or Asian languages would be beneficial.
- The role often demands self-motivation with limited supervision.
- Handling sensitive and often company/customer confidential information with appropriate discretion and maturity.
- Direct management of Inside/Tele-sales staff is likely in this role.
Critical Success Factors:
- The critical measure of success in this role is the generation of quality leads from our OpenSplice marketing campaigns.
- The timely delivery of quality content and collateral to support our marketing campaigns and/or product launches.

Travel:
- Whilst primarily office based, travel to other PrismTech and/or customer/partner sites should be anticipated.
