IBM World of Watson 2016, Las Vegas, NV, USA – October 24, 2016 – PrismTech™, a global leader in software platforms for distributed systems, today announced Vortex™ Edge PMQ, a predictive analytics solution for Edge Computing in the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). Vortex Edge PMQ provides a fully integrated hardware, data connectivity and analytics package which rapidly turns IIoT data into real-time predictive maintenance insights and actions.

Vortex Edge PMQ enables organizations to address this problem head-on by providing an integrated approach to the optimization of their physical assets, operations and processes.
Vortex Edge PMQ uses real-time information collection to optimize maintenance schedules, production processes and product quality by: reducing unplanned downtime, predicting the best time to perform maintenance on a monitored asset, uncovering process deficiencies that can affect product quality, and identifying the root causes of asset failures.
Vortex Edge PMQ was developed in partnership with ADLINK and IBM Watson IoT and thus leverages best-in-class IIoT Edge Computing hardware, data connectivity software and predictive analytics technologies. This powerful integrated hardware and software solution uses IBM Watson IoT’s Predictive Maintenance and Quality (PMQ) analytics solution, ADLINK’s Intel-based Smart Gateway and Industrial Server hardware, and PrismTech’s real-time data connectivity software to provide true Edge Computing in an IIoT context. This enables rapid provisioning, deployment, execution and corrective actions to be taken wherever they make most sense in an end-to-end IIoT system.
