The consulting services proposed by PrismTech will depend on the nature of your projects, as well as the specific phase they are in. System Analysis and Design
This service can be summarized as an expanded version of the architecture audit and design workshop leading to detailed recommendations for the implementation of your CORBA system, and/or including wide scale use cases or prototypes to validate these recommendations. Typically they will also include a consulting program to support the Customer during the take-up of such recommendations.
Application Migrations
Based on the plan devised with PrismTech’s Migration Assessment Workshop, PrismTech can undertake the actual migration of your application or framework. PrismTech has strong experience of such middleware and/or technology migrations, and our expertise ensures that we minimize any major re-writing of legacy code whilst taking best advantage of the features provided by PrismTech’s OpenFusion CORBA solutions.
Infrastructure and Application Developments
PrismTech has a proven track record in participating in the development of CORBA infrastructures used for large mission-critical systems. This is typically the case when our customers are implementing cutting edge technologies based on our products and where our software engineering and CORBA expertise can be leveraged to efficiently help implement some or all of our customer’s system. These consulting services can develop into full outsourcing or technology spinoffs for your CORBA application and tools.
Custom Ports and Enhancements
Customer environments may consist of specific operating systems that are not part of our “tier-one” supported OS’s. Our service will provide the full port of individual OpenFusion CORBA products and testing to a specific OS, as well as the professional support on this specific environment. Beyond the operating system, ports to a specific platform, may also require our software to work with specific transport mechanisms and drivers in case of embedded environments.
Our CORBA products are designed to easily integrate specific enhancements like new qualities of services (QoS), non-mandatory specifications and plug-ins that may be required by a customer. PrismTech welcomes such opportunities to enhance our products and improve their usability for the customer. The service we offer consists first of an in-depth analysis with you about your project requirements, and this captured into a detailed Statement of Work. As is the case for special ports, this service will include the professional support of such enhancements, in order to guarantee their long-term usability in your system.
On-Site Consulting
We can provide expert consultants for short to long-term on-site assignments to helping you with any or all aspects of your CORBA infrastructure and applications from mentoring to helping you support your systems.
