At all stages of a project cycle, multiple questions arise on how to best take advantage of PrismTech's OpenFusion CORBA products and of its underlying technologies. PrismTech offers a suite of workshops that are meant to rapidly provide answers to those questions. All the workshops listed below are meant to last no more than a week. Held by one of our Principal or Sr. Consultants, they are customized to the specific customer requirements, following a methodology proven on a large number of successful experiences, and leading to a report summarizing the conclusions and proposed action plan.
Accelerated Evaluation Program (2 to 5 days)
When dealing with cutting-edge technologies, the evaluation of a product and its benefits often end-up as a lengthy and costly process, requiring extensive and specialized resources. PrismTech accelerated evaluation program will help you make this evaluation process more effective for each one of our products. One of our experts will first agree with you the success criteria that measure the value-add our product is expected to bring. Based on these criteria, an evaluation plan will be agreed, and will be including a combination of tailored training and consulting time.
Jump Start (1 day)
The Jump Start program is designed for users who have recently purchased OpenFusion and are possibly new to CORBA technology. One of our experts will visit your site in order to ensure that the product is installed and configured correctly, and they will then help to bring you quickly up to speed on how to develop applications using OpenFusion by sharing our extensive experience and knowledge. The program can also serve to review your project's requirements and for our consultant to make further recommendations for additional training, consultancy or even future technology adoption. The Jump Start program is highly recommended, especially if you are new to CORBA and will ensure that your project gets off to a flying start.
Architecture Audit and Design (3 to 5 days)
In many cases, our customers face the issue of identifying if and how advanced CORBA and IIOP security technologies should be used in order to improve their application systems. With the help of one of our experts, our architecture and design workshop is structured to help you find a proper answer to such questions. This workshop may lead to a broader consulting service, including for example a prototyping phase in order to measure the effectiveness of one or several architectural alternatives.
Migration Assessment (3 to 5 days)
The Migration Assessment was created to support you in migrating your applications from existing ORB implementations such as Borland’s Visibroker and IONA’s Orbix ORBs to implementations exploiting the features of PrismTech’s OpenFusion CORBA ORBs. As part of this program one of PrismTech’s expert CORBA consultants will carry out a thorough review of your CORBA application in order to provide a roadmap outlining any areas of technical risk, resources, time and costs required for you to successfully migrate to OpenFusion CORBA.
Performance Optimization (5 to 10 days)
This program is specifically designed for clients who are about to deploy commercial or internal applications built using PrismTech technologies. Our consultants will analyze performance requirements and target systems to ensure performance for your system is at a maximum.
