OpenSplice DDS is a high-performance messaging technology featuring record breaking throughput and real-time determinism even under the most extreme traffic conditions. The OpenSplice Community Edition is our full-featured open-source implementation of the OMG-DDS standard.
This edition provides full support for content-based subscriptions (also known as continuous queries in the CEP domain), distributed data persistence, and transparent fault-management. As such It provides a fully compliant implementation of the DCPS Layer specified in the OMG DDS v1.2 specification. Along with its unique real-time networking, it supports the standardized interoperability wire-protocol specified in the OMG DDSI v2.1 standard.
The Community Edition is available as Open Source and is licensed under LGPL. Support for this version is only available through the Open Source community. If you, your company, or your project requires professional support services for OpenSplice DDS you can subscribe to a Commercial Edition.
The OpenSplice Community Edition remains at 5.4.1 and our policy going forward will be to have the OpenSplice DDS Community Edition one major release behind the Commercial Edition.
