Job Function Description:
As a software engineer you will be working on the - largely open-source - OpenSplice DDS product line in Hengelo, The Netherlands. OpenSplice DDS is a middleware product based on the publish/subscribe paradigm as standardized by the Object Management Group (OMG). It provides application developers and system integrators with real-time Quality of Service (QoS) driven data distribution supporting seamless and fault-tolerant information sharing between distributed applications (for additional information see http://www.opensplice.com and http://www.opensplice.org). You will be working on the core components of the product: a distributed real-time in-memory database that offers the standardized OMG-DDS Application Programmers Interfaces (API’s) for the applications and a set of pluggable core services for real-time data distribution and fault-tolerant information management.

As a junior engineer you have the following responsibilities:
• Realizing new product features on time and with appropriate quality.
• Providing detailed documentation of developed features.
• Provide 2nd line support: analyzing support requests and solving defects.

Candidate Profile:
-- Mandatory
• HBO/WO degree in Computer Science.
• Knowledgeable in Object Oriented Programming principles
• Flexible
• Teamplayer
• Eager to learn
• Capable of writing and speaking the English language.

-- Preferable
• up to 2 years working experience.
• Experience in C/C++ and/or Java programming language
• In-depth knowledge of the Linux and/or Windows operating systems.
• Affinity with middleware and real-time systems.
